WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY SCHEDULE
Lakeside Powdercoating Pty Ltd
1. Warranty Coverage
Lakeside Powdercoating Pty Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Lakeside Powdercoating") warrants its powder coating services against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 5 Years from the date of completion of the application process. This warranty is subject to the terms and conditions outlined herein.
The Lakeside Powdercoating warranty is distinct from the warranty implied by the manufacturer of the powder coat product, such as Dulux or Interpon.
The warranty provided directly from the manufacturer, such as Dulux or Interpon, may extend the warranty period subject to the terms and conditions provided by the manufacturer.
2. Scope of Warranty
This warranty covers defects in the application of powder coating only. It does not cover damages caused by improper handling, misuse, accidents, environmental factors, or normal wear and tear.
3. Warranty Claims
In the event of a warranty claim, the customer must notify Lakeside Powdercoating in writing within 5 days of discovering the defect. The notification must include details of the defect and supporting evidence, such as photographs.
4. Evaluation of Claims
Upon receiving a warranty claim, Lakeside Powdercoating will conduct a thorough evaluation of the alleged defect. This may involve on-site inspections or requesting the return of the coated item for further examination.
5. Remedies
If the defect is found to be covered under this warranty, Lakeside Powdercoating will, at its discretion, either:
a) Re-coat the affected area or the entire item, free of charge.
b) Provide a part, or full refund for the cost of the coating service.
6. Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
a) Damage resulting from improper storage or transportation of coated items.
b) Changes in colour or texture over time due to exposure to sunlight or other environmental factors.
c) Damage caused by chemical exposure, abrasion, or scratching.
d) Damage caused by neglect, or lack of cleaning & maintenance.
e) Any modifications or alterations made to the coated item after completion of the coating process, such as cutting, grinding and welding.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Lakeside Powdercoating's liability under this warranty is limited to the remedies provided herein. Lakeside Powdercoating shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the coated item.
8. Governing Law
This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this warranty shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
9. Amendment and Termination
Lakeside Powdercoating reserves the right to amend or terminate this warranty schedule at any time without prior notice. Any such amendment or termination shall not affect the validity of warranty claims made prior to the effective date of such amendment or termination.

This warranty schedule is effective as of 01/06/2024 and supersedes all prior warranties or representations, whether oral or written, relating to the powder coating services provided by Lakeside Powdercoating Pty Ltd.
11. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:

to cancel your service contract with us; and
-
to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value
You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
